Serves: 2 people
Ingredients:
- 150g bee hoon (soaked in water for about 20min or until bee hoon is soft and drain away the water)
- 50g beef slice (marinate with 1 tsp soya sauce)
- 1 tsp soya sauce
- a pinch of salt
- 2 tbsp tomato sauce
- 2 tbsp
- 1/4 med onions (2 shallots) sliced
- 2 cloves garlic chopped
- 4 tbsp chilli powder
- 2 tsp garlic
- 1/2 tsp belacan
- 1 cup oil
- 3 tsp sugar
- 1 tbsp ikan bilis
- Chilli paste - Heat oil then add in the ikan bilis and fry till crispy then put in the blended paste and sugar and stir together till color darkens. Put paste in a serving bowl but leave about 1 tbsp of paste in the frying pan.
- Add oil to the chilli paste and allow it to heat up. Add in onions and garlic and fry till brown then add in sliced beef and tomato sauce and stir till beef is cooked.
- Next add in the bee hoon and mix it well. Add in a little water if it's too dry. Add in salt and soya sauce and mix them well. Break the bee hoon while mixing and cooked for another 5 min.
- It is ready to be served with the chilli.
